Using other senses

 So for my first post, I want to discuss what I have gathered from this class thus far. The book we have been reading has been opening my eyes to things I never gave much thought about in the past. For instance, there have been a few times I have sat quietly and shut my eyes with an intention to fully hear my surroundings. After learning how seeing enables someone to notice half of what is happening around them and hearing gives someone a greater ability to be aware of their surroundings, I have much intrigued to test this out on my own. Honestly, it makes so much sense. Our eyes allow us to see what is in front of us with a little bit of sight to the right and left of us. But, do we just depend on turning our heads everytime we want to observe something we cannot directly see? It is what we, non-impaired people, are accustomed to. I could not imagine what life would be like if I lost my sight, but the people we have been reading about have advantages I couldn't even fathom. I rece...
